Just a quick note on the Butler-bound big man from Covenant Christian. I talked to Covenant head coach Scott Flatt this weekend and he confirmed that Smith will be cleared to practice on January 16th and should return to action soon thereafter. Covenant has played admirably in the absence of the 6'9" center, and their play will only obviously improve with Smith patrolling the paint. Best of luck for a continued speedy recovery, Andrew!
