As stated yesterday, Tom Crean was in the Phoenix area to see 2011 IU recruit Matt Carlino of Highland High School take on 2010 five star Texas recruit Daniel Bejarano of North Phoenix. North prevailed in this one, taking down the number-one ranked Highland team with a 17-0 run to end the third quarter. Carlino had a relatively off game, going an Iverson-esque 10-23 from the field, including 2-10 from downtown, for 23 points on the night. His backcourt running mate, sophomore Nick Johnson didn't fare any better, shooting 1-10 from the field and 0-5 from three-point range with UNLV head coach Lon Kruger looking on. Highland struggled with shooting as a whole, going 3-20 from threes and 36% from the field for the game. Bejarano had a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds.
