Upcoming Scouting Schedule as of 1/9

With the season in full swing, P-Hoops is trying more and more to get out on the road and see some of the best games Indiana has to offer. These dates are tentative and not set in stone (since I do coach and occasionally unforeseen conflicts arise), but these are some of the games I am planning on attending. Of course, I will post assessments of the games and players, as well as any interviews I have with coaches or players. Here are the games, along with players of interest to hoops fans.

January 10th - North Putnam at Covenant Christian - This game features two buddies of mine who are great coaches: Brady Armstrong of North Put and Scott Flatt of Covenant. The draw in this game is Andrew Smith (Butler), who will still be out, but who I hope to chat with.

January 13th - Pike vs. Franklin Central and Ben Davis vs. Lawrence North - Marion County Tournament games with Marquis Teague and Chandler Thomas (Pike), Patrick Bade (FC), Greg Rice (BD), and the crew from LN.

January 14th - Winners of Marion County games

January 17th - Twin Lakes vs. Tipton @ Conseco - Derek Elston (Tipton), an IU recruit.

January 20th-26th - Indianapolis City Tournament - This tournament will feature many teams and great players including Steven Jamison and Ronald Patterson (Broad Ripple), Kelsey Barlow and Errick Peck (Cathedral), Andre Hampton, PJ Boutte and Jordan Manuel (Howe), Tommy Eggleston and Joel Smith (Heritage Christian), and Brandon Demmings (Washington).

January 31st - Either Warren Central vs. North Central or Anderson Highland vs. Muncie Central - The first game features Ed Hazelett of Warren Central and four top players for North Central: Terone Johnson, Damon Ellison, Justin Reid, and freshman standout D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera. The other option features sophomore point guard Jeremiah Davis of Muncie Central, who has offers from Kentucky, IU, and Ball State.

February 14th - Either North Central vs. Terre Haute South or Dwenger vs. Blackhawk Christian - The players from the Panthers are listed above, and South features Indiana State recruit Jake Odum. Dwenger has Tony Springmann, a 6'8" sophomore of interest to schools like IU and Purdue, and Blackhawk boasts Michigan State recruit Russell Byrd, a junior.

February 21st - Detroit Country Day vs. Bloomington South - Country Day has a ton of nice players, including the son of a former IU assistant coach, Ray McCallum Jr. South features IU recruit Jordan Hulls, as well as sophomore standout guards Dee Davis and Spencer Turner.

As of right now, those are all the games I am looking at attending between now and when Boys' Sectionals begin. Let me know what you think of them, which games I should choose when there's an option, and if there are any games you think I really must be in attendance for!
