According to several media outlets, Purdue coach Matt Painter is on the verge of offering North Central freshman standout D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera. Indiana has already tendered an offer to the 6'3" ninth grader, who is playing amazingly well for the Panthers, the number two team in 4A. He is averaging around 16 points, seven boards, and five assists while playing the point for Doug Mitchell's undefeated squad. Here is the IndyStar link:
