Sandi Marcius, a 6'10 forward from LaPaorte LaLumiere High School, is a Region baller who has burst onto the recruiting scene as of late. In a recent game against Lew Wallace, Monte Towe, an NC State assistant, was there assessing both Marcius and el-Dub's Brandon Dawson. Now P-Hoops is getting reports that Purdue head man Matt Painter has extended a scholarship offer to the 2009 late-bloomer. The Purdue scholarship situation is a bit murky for the coming season, much like that of IU, but Painter must have an idea that there will be a free ride available for Marcius, should he choose to accept the offer. Below is a link to an article about Marcius and the Purdue offer. Enjoy!

Actually, the scholarship situation for next year isn't murky. Purdue still has one to give. Where it gets murky is the following year where, if Marcius accepts, three players have committed with two scholarships available. But there's a lot of time between now and signing day for 2010, so anything can happen.
