Highlights from Friday 2/20

P-Hoops will get to the Top Ten recap later today, but there were several other outstanding performances of note that demand attention. Let's take a look at what some of the other top teams and individual performers did on Friday night!

* Bloomington South trounced Perry Meridian 91-46. Sophomore Spencer Turner led the undefeated Panthers with 17 points, including five treys, and IU signee Jordan Hulls scored 14 of his own.

* North Central beat Center Grove behind 25 points from Terone Johnson, a Purdue recruit, while freshman D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera added 15 points. Senior forward Justin Reid added 13 of his own.

* Danville beat Crawfordsville, getting another double-double from Travis Carroll, who had 28 points and 13 boards.

* Sophomore Brandon Dawson scored 11 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as Gary Lew Wallace beat Gary Roosevelt.

* Mooresville star Matt Kenney scored 17 points in a one-point win over Greencastle.

* Cathedral beat Ben Davis without star Kelsey Barlow. Forward Errick Peck scored eight points, and the Giants got 15 from Greg Rice.

* Broad Ripple beat Tech behind 21 points from freshman Ron Patterson (pictured) and 18 points from Steven Jamison.

* Junior Jesse Berry scored 12 points in a win over Brownsburg.

* Lapel lost 71-50 to Pendleton Heights, as Chandler Guion scored 11 points.

* Marion beat Muncie Central 65-51 behind 23 points from NC State signee Scott Wood. JaRob McCallum scored 16 points and Mikel Brigham scored 14 points and secured 13 rebounds. Jauwan Scaife and Jeremiah Davis both had 14 points for the Bearcats.
* Anderson beat New Castle, getting 17 points from Troy Taylor, who went over 1,000 points for his career, now totalling 1,012 for the Indians. Congrats Troy!
* Princeton, the number one team in 3A, beat Castle 72-63 behind 31 points from sophomore Rontray Chavis.

* Southport lost to Lawrence Central, but got 11 points from freshman Kellon Thomas.
* Terre Haute South got a near record-breaking performance from Ian McIntyre, who had ten three-pointers on his way to 38 points. Indiana State recruit Jake Odum had 23 points and nine assists in the win.

* Washington beat Mt. Carmel (Ill.) 66-43 behind the Cody's. Cody Osmon had 17 points, and Cody Zeller had 12 points.

* North Montgomery beat Speedway, getting 28 points from Purdue-bound DJ Byrd.

* Avon beat McCutcheon in overtime behind 16 points from soph Kendall Griffin (pictured).

* Kokomo got a big win over Richmond on senior night. One of the seniors, Patrick Hopkins, who is headed to IWU, led the way with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
