The recruiting class for 2009 has an Indiana flair for both IU and Purdue. In the Hoosiers' incoming six-man class, two of the signees hail from the Hoosier State, while all four of Purdue's 2009 class are from the state. Let's take a quick but comprehensive look at the numbers being put up by these six home-grown athletes. These two schools have a lot to look forward to!
IU's Indiana Kids
Derek Elston (Tipton HS) - 20.0 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 2.7 apg, 2.0 bpg, 2.0 spg
Jordan Hulls (Bloomington South HS) - 16.1 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 5.4 apg
Purdue's Indiana Kids
Patrick Bade (Franklin Central HS) - 16.3 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.9 bpg, 113/205 2FG (55%), 8/40 3FG (20%), 75/109 FT (69%)
Kelsey Barlow (Cathedral HS) - 10.9 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 5.3 apg, 2.2 spg, 74/133 2FG (56%), 4/18 3FG (22%), 37/48 FT (77%)
DJ Byrd (North Montgomery HS) - 23.9 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 2.9 apg, 1.1 spg, 0.8 bpg, 83/164 2FG (51%), 38/95 3FG (40%), 79/109 FT (72%) - these stats exclude last night vs. Danville
Jeff Robinson (Lawrence North HS) - could only find first 10 games. 3.6 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 0.2 bpg, 0.6 spg, 0.3 apg, 50% 2FG, 50% FT, 25% 3FG
As said before, these two teams have much to be looking forward to in the very near future. Good luck to these boys from the Hoosier state in their college careers!

Just out of curiousity, where did you get that Travis Carroll is listed at 6'10? Just curious because as of the summer he was touted as 6'9 with the possibility to grow more and I was wondering if he is still growing
sorry- this was in reference to your earlier post on the Danville/NM game.
i've seen him listed at both, so i give the benefit of the doubt! seeing him in person a few times, i'd say he's right there at 6'10, and his frame suggests he can get taller.
