One of the more unheralded players in the class of 2009 in the state of Indiana has to be Mooresville point guard Matt Kenney. A Valparaiso commit, Kenney is a do-it-all player who literally stuffs the stat sheet for his undermanned Mooresville squad, to the tune of about 25 points, eight boards, five assists, and two blocks a game. One advantage Kenney has, as reported in the lined article below, is a late growth spurt which makes playing the point always a mismatch in his favor. Long standing below the six-foot mark, Kenney has shot up to around 6'3, giving opposing defenders fits, and future coach Homer Drew high hopes for his coming star. The article below also contains a tidbit on two of the Indianapolis-area's best big sophomore guards, Avon's Kendall Griffin and Plainfield's Chris Page. Read below and enjoy!
