In the first round of the Elgin Holiday Tournament, the LaLumiere Lakers had a dominating performance over Walther Lutheran, 81-36. They played suffocating defense, forcing 18 turnovers. They also dominated the glass, outrebounding their opponent 39-19. IU recruit Hanner Mosquera-Perea led the Lakers balanced attack with 11 points, while Matej Buovac added ten points.
