Game Updates: Saturday 12/10

Lots of great Indiana high school hoops went down this past Saturday night. P-Hoops was unable to attend, or even report on them until now, due to being in a state of blissful catharsis due to Christian Watford. Apologies, but I think you all can understand the delay.

* The Anderson Indians upset 2A favorite Luers 73-72 (the IU score!!!) behind 29 points from Tre Boyd. Luers got another fantastic game from James Blackmon, Jr. who scored 32 points in defeat.

* North Central prevailed 75-72 over Bowman Academy, who was playing without IUPUI recuit Elijah Ray. Impressive outing for both teams.

* Wabash beat Whitko 72-66 in a physical contest despite 36 points from Stetson recruit Logan Irwin.

* Cathedral beat Perry Meridian 47-40 in an ugly foul-fest that included a technical foul against IU recruit Collin Hartman. The Irish won despite getting mediocre scoring outputs from big guns Jared Drew (8), Hartman (7), Mo Evans (7), and Jalen Coleman (5). Gotta win ugly sometimes!

* Lebanon looks to be the best in Hendricks County and the Sagamore Conference as they torched Western Boone 76-52 behind 22 points from Trey Hendrix.

* Pike got a ten point win over Brownsburg, 64-54, getting 15 points from Zavier Turner and 14 points apiece from RJ Hunter and Johntae Alexander. The Bulldogs got 19 points from Chase Dutra, a high level football recruit.

* Roncalli won a slobberknocker 43-34 over perennial 1A power Lafayette Cental Catholic, getting 11 points from 6'7 forward Ryan Weber.

* Lawrence North found their offense, beating Ft. Wayne North Side 80-64. West Virginia recruit Eron Harris had 16 points and Purdue recruit Basil Smotherman finally got in a groove, scoring 12 points.

* Park Tudor walloped Convenant Christian 75-43, resting most of their starters for the fourth quarter. Trevon Bluiett led the Panthers with 20 points, Manhattan signee Paul Bayt added 11 points, and Yogi Ferrell had a solid floor game, scoring seven points and dishing out seven assists.

* Franklin Central upset Fishers 63-57 after entering the fourth quarter all tied up. Point guard Jaylon Brown led the Tigers with 19 points.

* Carmel topped Decatur Central 75-54, getting 20 points from Michael Volovic, while Sam Curts added 17 points of his own.

* Pendleton Heights thumped Connersville 58-30 at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Kellen Dunham matched his season low (!!!!!!!!) of 23 points.

* Mishawaka Marian beat Triton 58-52 behind 23 points from Demetrius Jackson. Triton star Clay Yeo scored 28 points, but missed three critical free throws that could have helped his team to an upset win.

Check back later on to see what top games are coming up early this week.
