With all the talk of Indy schools and such....let s hear for the SAC in Fort Wayne - two teams in finals from same conference....I am sure it has been doen before but not very often.....
I agree. Great to see such good basketball teams representing Fort Wayne...especially from the same conference. How about the girls representation from Fort Wayne as well...FW Elmhurst in particular (another SAC team)? That's much deserved for that school. Luers put on a clinic in the semi-state...hope it continues to state. They are a very, very talented squad.
It happened last year with Harding And Luers, so in back to back years. But it is still an accomplishment though! Lets bring the 4a crown to FW for the 1st time since 1974 (usually the 4a winner is the best team in the state)!
Perhaps this year a 2A team is the best in the state...
I agree about a 2A school being the best in the state. It won't even be a game, I'm sure. Ft. Wayne Luers will topple over them. With being able to pick students from anywhere in the state really helps your chances. Public schools in the smaller classes don't stand a chance against schools like this.
