P-Hoops Picks: 1A Sectional Winners

As the postseason dawns this Tuesday evening, the most exciting time on the high schools basketball season begins: Sectionals. Just that word alone send shivers up the spine of the most loyal Hoosier state hoops fans. All the hard work of twelve or so boys and a handful of dedicated coaches comes down to this. It's win or go home. No more second chances. For some, these will be the final organized games of any consequence they'll ever play in. Seniors cry after a loss, knowing they'd give anything just to be able to walk into their home gym for one more practice. For others, it's glory and greatness and a claim they can hang onto for the rest of their lives: That they did something only sixty-three other teams did in the entire state on that year. Win a Sectional title. So with all this build up and tension, who will cut down the nets this weekend? Which lucky teams will survive and advance to the Regional round of sixteen? P-Hoops will pick the winners of all sixty-four Sectionals, all today, starting with the 1A class. Which teams will be the pride of their community? Let's take a look at who I think will come out on top in 1A from Sectional play all the way through the State Champion!
