Just added another scout to the scedule below. I expect to be at the Kokomo at Carmel game on January 17. Kokomo features one of the top freshman in the state in 6'0" guard DJ Ballentine. They are led by 6'7" senior forward Patrick Hopkins, an Indiana Wesleyan signee who 12 points and eight rebounds a game as a junior. Carmel is a deep squad, highlighted by 6'5" junior Scott Laskowski, 6'6" sophomore Robert Kitzinger, and 6'1" junior Alex Payne. Standout quarterback, 6'4" guard Morgan Newton (headed to Kentucky) returns after falling in the football State Championship game to Cetner Grove. He is a good slasher and is known as a defensive stopper. One I will be keeping an eye on is 6'10" freshman center AJ Hammons. Hammons played well in their opener against Brownsburg, registering eight points and playing solid defense.
