Upcoming Scouting Schedule

With basketball season underway, here's a look at some of the games I'll be attending to size up teams and players. With me being a coach, it's difficult to find enough time to see all the games I'd like, but these are times I've for sure carved out.

December 13 - North Central vs. Lafayette Jeff @ Southport. This game will feature such player as North Central's Terone Johnson (Purdue), Damon Ellison, and freshman phenom D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera Lafayette Jeff counters with junior standount guard Jesse Berry, who poured in 51 points in the Bronchos season-opening win against Aaron Martin (Indiana Wesleyan) and his Rossville squad.

Also in the Southport Tournament, Lawrence North takes on Ft. Wayne Bishop Luers. This game is full of studs, including LN's Dominque Ferguson (Kentucky), Stephan Van Treese (Louisville), Justin Martin (Louisville), Michael Chandler, and Ryan Taylor. Luers counters with junior five star phenom DeShaun Thomas (Ohio State) and IU football recruit Lawrence Barnett.

January 13 - Marion County Tournament: Franklin Central @ Pike. This game will feature Patrick Bade (Purdue) and Casey Coons (Taylor) for the Flashes, and sophomore stars Marquis Teague and Chandler Thomas lead the Red Devils.

The same night at Pike High School, Ben Davis will face off with Lawrence North in the later game.

January 20-26 - Indianapolis City Tournament: The teams of note in this tournament include Broad Ripple (Ronald Patterson), Cathedral (Kelsey Barlow- Purdue; Errek Peck), Covenant Christian (Andrew Smith- Butler), Heritage Christian (Tommy Eggleston and Joel Smith), and Howe Academy.

I'm sure there will be more games that come to my attention that I am able to attend, but these ones are on the schedule as of now!
