PJ Boutte should be a lot higher. He has really step his game up. Seen him this weekend at the Speice Camp, he played really well vs. Marquis Teague. !

p-hoops as always i love your list, one guy i think was really really good was kenny mullin from bishop leurs, the point guard who was so unselfish and gave up a lot of dimes he could've cashed in on during that title run, kid is fast but haven't seen much range yet or i'd say kalin lucas-ish

Anonymous said...

also really liked christopher whitehead from new albany he and dee davis looked almost equally impressive head to head

A great player that I hardly hear mentioned is Phil Miller of Fishers. He is always tops on the list of most assists, most steals, and is a game changer.

Kenny Mullen is a fantastic true point guard that does not turn the ball over in a VERY fast offense. He knows his strengths and does not try to do anything extra. What people do not know is that the left hander snapped his left wrist in a December game against Snider, displaced his left elbow, and actually seperated his left shoulder in the state championship game. Through all of that, he only missed a part of the quarter and 1 game with the wrist injury, and the remainder of the quarter with the shoulder injury. He is a tough kid. a true winner.

i added mullen and miller. seen both of them and both very deserving. i think mullen's D against brownstown central was the spark that turned it into a blowout. Miller is very solid, too.

Haven't seen Whitehead, but if and when I do and he's derserving, I'll add him.

i would add brandon burtner from western boone he is a really good player

Carpenter of Triton. Shoot the lights out next year from anywhere on the court. Getting quicker and better handler every day. Sleeper to watch for...

Ben Hogan of Loogootee....Jack
Butcher's grandson....6' 4" and
will be a force for the Lions.

vieke from rivet??
is he good enough to put on this list?

p-hoops said...

i've added griffyn as he's certainly deserving. big contributor on state runner up and a sweet stroke.

haven't seen burtner or hogan, and i'll have to ponder vieke.

i think the highest scoring soph in the state was garrett bateman of shoals, had a 39 point game and averaged over 24 ppg

he missed a few games, so maybe the stats were skewed some but he's one to keep an eye on at the least

Kyle Spencer from Cascade is not a PG, but a shooting guard and probably overblown. However, Chandler Guion is Lapel's PG, not a SF. Whitehead from New Albany defends well and can get in the lane, tough kid-not a great finisher, or much of a shooter yet.

im pretty sure burtner plays for fidhouse elite knights but not sure and he is a shooting guard

Anonymous said...

Anybody ever heard of Roo Standeford from southwestern (Shelbyville)for class 2011?? Or Kyle Wuest from edinburgh class 2012??

Anonymous said...

What about chris page from plainfield???? he avg 16.7 points a game. He was amazing in the county turny and had 26 the first game and 24 the secound hitting 11 3's. 26 against avon when kendal griffin only had 3. Give him some credit

Anonymous said...

i watched page play against team indiana elite and he didnt do a thing at all he is a streaky shooter. i bet brandon burtner is better than him

Anonymous said...

Evan Maschmeyer from Jeffersonville is 6'3" and was recently named to the Louisville Courier-Journal all-area 2nd team. He was the only sophomore named from the 1st,2nd and honorable mention teams.

Anonymous said...

Anymore thoughts on 6'9" Tyler Greathouse? He is playing on Spiece Select 2011 and had a great tournament at Pittsburgh.

Anonymous said...

You certainly missed one of the BEST point guards in the state. Warsaw's Nic Moore, a member of Spiece Indy Heat as well.

He may verbal to Purdue this summer.

Anonymous said...

nic moore plays for team indiana

Anonymous said...

who is brandon burtner

Anonymous said...

who is brandon burtner. anyone know??

Anonymous said...

Michael "spike" Albrecht should be on the to watch list for point guards not doubt considering the fact of dropping 32 points again East Chicago and Michael Harris. Especially with Crown Point losing 7 seniors he will be the goto guy next year look for him to score alot of points

Anonymous said...

yeah also dont forget about brandon burtner a shooting guard for western boone

Anonymous said...

The "Class of 2011" is missing a real talent. His name is William Clinton Barnes III. He is a sophomore at Marion High School. He is a kid that just continues to get better every weekend out despite playing in the shadows of Jajuan Sarver [Avon] (because his dad is the coach & the team is centered around him - his dad should give up coaching the team because he is only trying to coach his son & is killing the team this year). Unfortunately, he plays for Fieldhouse Elite Kings Court 2011. Check him out & I am sure he will soon appear on your list of the best of 2011. He is a 6'3" wingman that is fun to watch!

BRANDON BURTNER

Anonymous said...

Brandon Burtner is from the Western Boone class of 2011. He played JV and Varsity his Freshman year and started every varsity game his Sophomore year. He plays on Fieldhouse Elite 2011 Knights. He's an excellent 3 point shooter and an all around great player. Check him out!

Anonymous said...

shut the hell up about brandon burtner

Anonymous said...

why do we need to shut up

Brandon Ledford is A very over looked player. Can score pass, and defend.Very hard worker, who puts 100% into the game.

Anonymous said...

Ja'juan Sarver of (Avon) is overlooked. This 6ft point guard has skill. Good at getting to the basket and distributing the ball at the right time. He can also knock down the three. He makes the people around him better. This kid is foreal and should start getting some respect for his game

Anonymous said...

Bob Dillon - Brebeuf Jesuit

So underlooked great player at an alright 3A school might win state in 2 years

Anonymous said...

Everyone might want to look at DeShawne Wilcox who plays for Sarver's Fieldhouse Kings Court. He is a quiet player who continues to improve his game, but I think when the time comes for him to shine he is going to blind everyone.

Anonymous said...

Brandon Burtner deserves to be on the watch list!! Great all around player. Plays for Fieldhouse Elite 2011 Knights. He may not be on a great AAU team but he plays his heart out and is a damn good player and he can drain 3's all day long! Whoever says he's garbage is crazy! I've watched him play for years and each year he gets better and better!!! Don't believe me...check him out!!

Anonymous said...

Did Kings Court win the College Coaches Classic in Fishers?

Anonymous said...

Dylan Langkabel is the best player that i have ever seen! he is from a small sschool but knows how to shoot the ball and play the game! he is the best EVER!

Anonymous said...

Langkabel?! what about roo standeford!! he plays for southwester(shelby). he is a great player and probably the best player in the conference! definetley a D1 recuit!---David Covington

how about zoe bauer. this kid can shoot lights out from anywhere on the court. he had 38 points against state runner up rochester this year. if gryffin carpenter is on the watch list zoe bauer should be. he is at 25.6 points a game he has had 8 three's in multiple games this year. him and gryffin both play in the same conference and they are both very strong players. but zoe bauer is the real slepper
